This website is operated by Pretty Little Hires. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Pretty Little Hires. Pretty Little Hires offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms” AND "The Rental Agreement"), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Pretty Little Hires and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.
We reserve the right to alter and add to our hire terms and conditions as required. Any changes published will be effective immediately. The Renter is responsible for ensuring they're aware of the latest terms and conditions published on our website.
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
By entering or using any part of Pretty Little Hires you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with our terms and conditions please do not rent with us.
This Rental Agreement is a legal agreement between you (the renter) and Pretty Little Hires.
In consideration of the Rental Price to be paid by you, and the agreements set forth in these Terms and Conditions, Pretty Little Hires agrees to rent you the Item as selected by you subject to the following;
Pretty Little Hires do not hold liability for any postal faults with the third party postage provider once it has been dispatched and collected by the courier. Including, but not limited to: Delays in shipping, misdirected postage (such as within the scenario an incorrect address has been provided upon purchase or the courier has delivered to the incorrect address) and stolen packages.
Refunds are not provided for postal delays/errors, only store credit is issued. However, please note the shipping costs are not included within store credit if it has been already been dispatched. We provide store-credit out of good faith and have the right to reject or withdraw any remedies.
When renting from Pretty Little Hires, the hired garment(s) must be returned the following working day. For example, if you hired a garment the Saturday you are to post the garment(s) the following day which would be the (Monday). If you hired a garment on a working day for example, Tuesday you are required to post the dress the following working day (which would be the Wednesday).
Returns can be organised by collection from your house through the NZ Post Website or dropping to your nearest NZ Post Office. Collection from your house you are responsible for the garment to be picked up on the next working day, if not collected you will be liable for late fees and missed rentals. We advise booking a pick up from your house earlier the better. If you are dropping to your nearest NZ Post Office, drops offs need to be done 3pm the next working day.
Do not place returns in the drop boxes outside as this will delay returns and you will be lliable for late fees, missed rentals and lost garment(s)..
In the circumstance you lose or misplace your return bag you are required to purchase a new shipping bag from your nearest NZ Post Shop with overnight courier and tracking. If you fail to attach overnight courier and tracking you are liable to cover any late fees, missed rentals or lost garment(s).
If you booked a garment(s) and selected the pickup/drop off option you are required to drop the garment(s) back the next working day.
Pretty Little Hires NZ is the legal owner of all garment(s) at all times, you are simply only ‘renting’. It is the responsibility of the renter that all garment(s) are returned in a timely manner, unwashed and in the original condition. Failure to comply may result in Pretty Little Hires escalating the matter to a debt collection agency, police or disputes tribunal.
If you have failed to return the next working day, late fees start at $20 for the first day it is late and then increases $5 per day following the first day for that same week. After that, an additional $20 is attached onto the existing late fee per week it is late.
You are liable to cover the late fees, any missed rentals or lost garment(s).

If a garment(s) is returned damaged including or a combination of stains, rips, tears, holes or excessive odour. The renter agrees to cover the additional damage or cleaning fees, (including expenses incurred from tailoring and/or dry-cleaning), or the garment's original RRP (not the rental price listed on Pretty Little Hires NZ). Further fees may incur if the garment(s) is irreplaceable. You may be liable to cover the cost of any rentals missed as a result of the delay from the additional repair or cleaning. Pretty Little Hires owns the legal rights to the garment and it stays in our business.
Once the item has been dispatched, you solely hold responsibility for the item during the rental period, if any damage and or claims are made against you as a result of occurrences that happened while you were responsible for the item regardless of whether or not they were your own doing or out of your control, you will be held solely responsible for the costs incurred.
Failure to comply may result in Pretty Little Hires NZ escalating the matter to a debt collection agency, police or disputes tribunal.
As soon as you place a order with Pretty Little Hires NZ - In the occurrence of an event cancellation or if you happen to change your mind it is your obligation to let us know of your cancellation as soon as possible before the garment(s) has been dispatched or collected in order to be eligible to be considered for a remedy. Remedies may include store credit, swapping for an alternative garment or a re-booking for an alternative date (if the garment is available). No reimbursement or remedy is provided if you cancel once the item has already been dispatched or has been collected. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the event, may not qualify for a remedy.
When renting from Pretty Little Hires NZ there will be no refunds for garment(s) that do not suit, fit incorrectly or changes of mind if the garment has been already dispatched or collected. We are more than happy to make recommendations of sizing of garments feel free to contact us prior for advice or measurements. We do our best to assist with sizing however, please note our recommendations do not make us liable if the garment doesn’t suit, fit or change of mind as mentioned above.
However, in the special circumstance a refund is offered please note the shipping costs are not included within refunds if it has been already been dispatched. Unless we allow this due to providing a damaged or stained garment. We have the right to reject or withdraw any remedies.
THE RENTERS OBLIGATIONS:
When renting a garment(s) from Pretty Little Hires NZ you are purchasing the right to rent our garment(s) for the booked rental date processed in our system.
Only you the renter can wear the garment(s) it does not give you the right to share the garment(s) with others while in your possession.
Once the garment has been delivered, you are then responsible for its safety and condition. If the item is stolen once it leaves the courier, for example, left out in the rain or stolen from a mailbox, you are legally in its possession, therefore it is your responsibility.
You the renter have an obligation to, however, not limited to:
- Take care of our garment(s) without damaging them if damages incur compensation must be paid.
- Pay compensation when required or for a breach of contract. Including late fees, however, are not limited to, covering missed rentals, damage and/or cleaning expenses.
- Return the item unwashed in the original condition in a timely manner.
